Two mnemonic cues for “resolution.” Use the one which is more meaningful to your client.
I sometimes use “red/sold” and sometimes use “red/salt.” Visualize a “sold” sign in front of a house. Alternatively, can you see the tiny salt shaker with red salt pouring out? I have even used colored sugar in a salt shaker so the child can shake out red “salt.” The more modalities the better! Remember, the child needs to first understand what a resolution is. Only then is the retrieval cue helpful.
